GetControl loans pay off high-interest debt (typically 15%+ interest) and cover essential items, family wellbeing and asset purchases such as a fridge, washing machine, beds, spectacles, dental work or school costs. Terms run 6 months, 12 months or 2 years, and repayments (for example NZD 50 weekly on NZD 5,000 over 2 years) are deducted from wages or WINZ payments. Applications come only through financial mentors at budgeting services, and borrowers keep working with their mentor throughout. Not available for vehicle purchases or bank debts.
